Soft Burger Bread (Fluffy Burger Buns)

Makes: 8 soft burger buns
Ingredients
– 3½ cups all-purpose flour
– 2¼ tsp instant yeast (1 sachet)
– ¼ cup sugar
– 1 tsp salt
– ¾ cup warm milk
– ¼ cup warm water
– ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1 large egg
Optional topping:
– 1 egg (for egg wash)
– Sesame seeds
Method
- Mix warm milk, warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
2. Add flour, salt, egg, and butter. Knead 8–10 minutes until soft and elastic.
3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
4. Divide dough into 8 balls, shape smooth buns, and place on a lined tray.
5. Cover and let rise again for 15 minutes.
6. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
7. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15–18 minutes until golden.
8. Brush with melted butter if desired. Cool slightly before slicing.
