Classic Vanilla Cake
Classic vanilla cake is a soft, light, and timeless dessert with a delicate vanilla flavor. Perfect for celebrations or simple treats, this cake is moist, fluffy, and delicious on its own or with frosting.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease a small cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a bowl mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl whisk eggs and sugar until smooth.
- Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a smooth batter forms.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before slicing and serving.
