Classic Vanilla Cake

Classic vanilla cake is a soft, light, and timeless dessert with a delicate vanilla flavor. Perfect for celebrations or simple treats, this cake is moist, fluffy, and delicious on its own or with frosting.

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Grease a small cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl whisk eggs and sugar until smooth.
  5. Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a smooth batter forms.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool before slicing and serving.
