Nigerian Pepper Soup
Nigerian pepper soup is a light but flavorful broth made with aromatic spices and meat or fish. It is commonly enjoyed as a comforting meal and is known for its warming and spicy taste.
Ingredients
- 300 g goat meat or chicken pieces
- 3 cups water
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp pepper soup spice
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped scent leaves or parsley
Method
- Place meat in a pot and add water, onion, ginger, and garlic.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Add pepper soup spice, salt, and black pepper.
- Simmer for about 20 minutes until the meat is tender.
- Add scent leaves or parsley and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve hot.
