Pan-Fried Fish Fillet

Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 4 white fish fillets (tilapia, hake, or cod), 150–180g each
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons olive oil (or vegetable oil)
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Method
- Pat fish dry with paper towel to help it crisp properly.
- Mix salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Season both sides evenly.
- Lightly coat each fillet in flour and shake off excess.
- Heat oil (and butter if using) in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook fish 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and flakes easily.
- Remove from heat, squeeze lemon juice over, and garnish with parsley.
