Tomato Basil Bruschetta
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 6–8 pieces
Ingredients:
– 1 baguette or crusty bread
– 3 ripe tomatoes (diced)
– ¼ cup fresh basil leaves (chopped)
– 2 cloves garlic (minced)
– 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
– 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (optional)
– Salt, to taste
– Black pepper, to taste
Method:
– Slice bread and toast lightly until crisp.
– In a bowl, combine tomatoes, basil, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
– Add balsamic vinegar if using and mix gently.
– Spoon tomato mixture onto toasted bread slices.
– Serve immediately for best flavor.
